Interstitial steel (EDDS, IF)
This type of steel offers the highest formability with low strength. It undergoes vacuum degassing and is often stabilized with titanium or niobium, making it ideal for deep-drawn complex parts that require minimal carbon to prevent splitting during the forming process.
Plain carbon steel
Steel grades encompass a range of carbon content from 0.02% to 1.0%. Mild steel, characterized by its lower carbon content, is predominantly utilized in applications requiring extensive forming. Conversely, high-carbon steels, with their higher carbon content, are primarily employed in applications that necessitate heat treatment.
